The iconic Japanese watch brand, Casio, has unveiled two new G-Shock models that embrace sustainability without compromising durability. Designed for longevity and eco-conscious consumers, the GD-010CE-5JF and GA-010CE-2AJF stand out for their innovative use of recycled materials and natural dyes.

Casio’s latest G-Shock watches are crafted primarily from biomass-derived plastics, repurposed from previously used electronic devices. This initiative reduces environmental impact by minimizing waste and reliance on new plastic production. The bezels and cases are entirely composed of these sustainable polymers, reinforcing the brand’s dedication to eco-friendly innovation.

The watch straps are equally environmentally responsible, made from Cordura (nylon fabric) and PET yarn, both sourced from recycled materials. What sets these models apart is their unique coloring process—Casio has employed Food Textile technology, which converts food waste into natural dyes. The GA-010CE boasts a subtle hue derived from red beet dye, while the GD-010CE features a natural colorant extracted from echinacea.
